INTRODUCTION to DATABASES: makes use of Microsoft Access to illustrate the proper design of relational databases. Each student creates a database for a non-profit organization using the principles learned in class.

CLIENT/SERVER DATABASES: builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in INTRODUCTION to DATABASES. Students create Access databases as prototypes, use SQL to create server-side tables in Oracle, then connect the Oracle tables to the Access front end.
